FEATURED ARTIST OF THE DAY at ‘Art For The Earth’ is the awe-inspiring @ginamparr
This is her alluring oil and acrylic painting ‘A Series Of Small Journeys V’. (see link in bio)
Gina’s work has both nature and self at its heart. It’s about expressing who she is, where she has come from, and the notion that we are formed by our personal journeys, our experiences, and our relationships.
Her themes of family, childhood, loss, love, environment, and gender, are played out in a chimerical space, which lies somewhere between abstraction and figuration.
When painting, Gina is completely immersed in the process, building a reverberating relationship with the canvas, a push and pull of spontaneity and controlled intention.
Gina has exhibited in galleries and art fairs in the UK, Denmark and Italy, exhibits with the Society of Women Artists annually at the Mall Galleries London, and has completed commissions in The Middle East, Belguim and London.
Her works are held in collections worldwide including Keble College Oxford, Director of Jestico Whiles Architects London, President of the Boston's Children's Museum USA, and Goldman Sachs Senior Economist, London.
Gina has generously agreed to donate 33% from the proceeds of her art sales at ‘Art For the Earth’ to support Sarah Finch’s legal challenge to stop the expansion of oil production at Horse Hill in Surrey.
So thank you Gina - we are so grateful for your collaboration with us on this important cause.
